Your Night Helper Team should be composed of Pokemon that need to rest and Pokemon you want to level up. Read on for an in-depth guide on what kind of Team to build and which Pokemon to use for your Night Helper Team in Pokemon Sleep.
List of Contents
You Night Helper Team will be the active Team when you start your Sleep Session and go to sleep. This Team should be full of Pokemon whose energy levels or EXP you want to increase.

Sleeping is the best way to raise your Pokemon's happiness and energy. Add all the tired Pokemon that you want to use the next day, so that they can get enough energy to do their jobs in the morning.
Keep in mind that the Sleep Score you get for your Sleep Session will be the exact percentage of energy that the Pokemon in your Helper Team get.
How to Keep Helper Pokemon Happy and Energized
Going to sleep is the only way to increase a Pokemon's level without using items. Your Pokemon earn the same amount of EXP as your Sleep Score for a Sleep Session, so make it a habit to add Pokemon you want to level up to your Night Helper Team.
Some Pokemon, mainly those that evolve through Friendship such as Eevee into Sylveon and most Baby Pokemon, require a specific amount of sleep in order for you to evolve them. These Pokemon are also recommended for your Night Helper Team if you plan on evolving them.
While you sleep through the night, your Pokemon will still be gathering Berries. How they do this while sleeping, we can't be sure.
However, this means that your Pokemon that gather the favorite Berries of your Snorlax have an advantage. They can provide Snorlax with more Strength while you sleep.
These Pokemon can be added to your Night Helper Team if you don't have any more tired Pokemon to add.
RP or Research Power helps you determine how good your Pokemon is at raising Snorlax. The higher the RP, the better your Pokemon can perform.
After getting your Sleep Report, you may notice that Pokemon with higher RP have a tendency to increase more of Snorlax's energy throughout the night. If your Pokemon are in similar RP ranges, the results may be more inconsistent.
If that is the case for you, you do not need to consider RP yet when making your Helper Team. However, it is still worth remembering for future builds once you have more Pokemon and a wider RP range.
Nature | Increased Stat | Decreased Stat |
---|---|---|
Timid | EXP gains | Speed of help |
Hasty | EXP gains | Energy recovery |
Jolly | EXP gains | Ingredient finding |
Naive | EXP gains | Main Skill chance |
Bold | Energy recovery | Speed of help |
Impish | Energy recovery | Ingredient finding |
Lax | Energy recovery | Main Skill chance |
Relaxed | Energy recovery | EXP gains |
All of your tired Pokemon, regardless of Nature, deserve some sleep. If you want to know which Pokemon Natures benefit the most whenever you go to sleep, these are the Natures that boost EXP gains.
Other Natures that benefit from a good night's sleep are those that boost Energy recovery. However, this is less useful if you're getting a full night's rest since your Pokemon gain as much energy as your Sleep Score. If you sleep long and score high, they should regain all their energy anyway.
Best Natures: List of All Natures and Effects
Choose your Team members by going to Edit Teams in the Pokemon menu. Tap on any of the five Pokemon slots that you want to replace or fill. The Leader of your Helper Team will be the Pokemon featured on your sleep tracking screen whenever you're in a Sleep Session.
