Pokemon Sleep is working on future updates to add new features, events, Pokemon, and a research area! Read on for a list of all of the planned updates they've announced for the next version of the Pokemon Sleep app and which features they've already implemented.

Pokemon Sleep has shared a partial list of upcoming features that will be added tto the app. The Fire-type Candy item will soon be added in the game, which can be used to get candy for any Fire-type Pokemon to the game.
A feature where Pokemon with 100 energy or more will get some energy after cooking dishes will also be added soon.

Pokemon Sleep has also shared details about events and features that they're currently preparing for the game, including news about more Pokemon being added in the game, although no specifics were given.
The Entei Research event is also being prepared, as well as a summer event where players can get various candy for Pokemon.
The players' connection with their Pokemon is also being improved, where any Pokemon that you've spent a lot of sleep time with will be a better help in your sleep research.

Pokemon Sleep shared that they are also planning to improve the experience of brand new players who have just started on the game.
