Link Account in Settings

How to Link Accounts to Pokemon Sleep
1. From the main screen, tap on Main Menu.
2. Go to Settings and More.
3. Tap on Link Accounts.
4. Choose which account you want to link.
5. Sign into that account.

Linking your account is simple. All you need to do is go to Pokemon Sleep's Settings and add a social media account you would like to link.

You are allowed to link more than one type of account to Pokemon Sleep.

Must Be At Least 16 Years Old

Pokemon Sleep players must be at least 16 years old in order to use the account linking function.

Players who are under 16 or do not have any external account to link can instead use their unique Support ID and request a transfer code in order to move save data to a new device.

Unfortunately, if your phone gets lost or broken before you manage to take note of your Support ID and transfer code, you will no longer have access to your save file.

Accounts You Can Link to Pokemon Sleep

For iOS Devices

Pokemon Sleep - Linking Accounts

Pokemon Sleep players using iPhones can link their Apple ID to their account in addition to their Google and Facebook accounts.

Only one account is necessary for you to have access to your back-up save data, but you are allowed to link all of your accounts.

For Android Devices

At the moment, Android users can only link either their Google account or their Facebook account to Pokemon Sleep. It is also possible to link both accounts at the same time.

How to Back Up Pokemon Sleep Save Data

Save Data is Automatically Stored

You don't need to do anything in order to back up your save data. Pokemon Sleep automatically records and stores all your data to their servers, which is why you need an internet connection in order to use the app.

Why You Need to Link Accounts

Easy Way to Transfer Save Data to Another Device

Pokemon Sleep - Starting on New Device
If you get a new phone and want to keep using your Pokemon Sleep account, make sure to link an external account to Pokemon Sleep before getting rid of your old phone.

The easiest way to transfer your save data to another device is through account linking. This will tie your Pokemon Sleep account to whichever other account you've linked. The linked account is what you will log into when logging into Pokemon Sleep on a new device.

The only other way to transfer your save data is by taking note of your Support ID and issued transfer code, which may not be as convenient as simply logging into one of your accounts.

Keep Your Save When Deleting the App

Your save data is not saved onto your phone. It is saved on Pokemon Sleep's servers, and you will either need to link an account or enter your Support ID and a transfer code in order to have access to your save data again even if you're using the same phone.

If you ever need to delete and reinstall the app, like if you need to fix an error code, you may accidentally lose access to your whole save file. Make sure to link at least one account before you even think about deleting your Pokemon Sleep app.
