How to Use the Candy Cram-o-matic

How to Use the Candy Cram-o-matic
The Candy Cram-o-matic is a limited-time event feature in Pokemon Sleep that allows you to convert Pokemon Candy and Dream Shards into a random Type Candy M. Read on for more information about the Candy Cram-o-matic, the best Pokemon Candy to use on it, the events this can be used in, and tips on how to use this feature.

How to Use the Candy Cram-o-matic

Insert Dream Shards and 40 Pokemon Candies

Use Candies and Dream Shards in the Candy Cram-o-matic
In order to use the Candy Cram-o-matic, you need to use 40 Pokemon Candies and a set amount of Dream Shards that increase each time the Cram-o-matic is used in a day. The Dream Shard cost will reset each day.

The Candy Cram-o-matic can be found near the campsite to the left of Snorlax.

Increse Type Chances by Using Candy of the Same Type

Pokemon Sleep - Grass Type Pokemon Candy
You can use 40 of any variety of Pokemon Candies you want in order to power up the Cram-o-matic. However, if there's a particular type you want for your candy, then its better to use only Pokemon Candies that share a typing. This will increase the chances of you getting a candy of that type.

Take note that the type of candy you get is not guaranteed even if all 40 Pokemon Candies you use are the same. There is always a chance that the resulting candy is completely different from what you expect.

Random Chance for Double Candies

Every time you use the Candy Cram-o-matic, there is a chance that the resulting Candy M will be two pieces instead of one.

Dream Shard Cost Per Day

Times Used Today Dream Shard Cost
1 1,000 Dream Shards
2 5,000 Dream Shards
3 15,000 Dream Shards
4 40,000 Dream Shards

Can Only Be Used 4 Times a Day

There is a limit to how many times you can use the Candy Cram-o-matic during the event week. You can use it up to four times a day for a maximum of 28 times for the week.

Any Excess Candies

Pokemon Sleep - Pokemon Candies in Bag

If you have over 300 candies for a particular Pokemon that you don't really need to use, then you can feed these to the Candy Cram-o-matic. It would be even more ideal if the type of this Pokemon Candy matches the type of a Pokemon you do need candies for.

Common Pokemon Candies

Pokemon Candy to Use Resulting Type Candy
Wobbuffet Candy Psychic Candy M
Sudowoodo Candy Rock Candy M
Jigglypuff Candy Fairy Candy M
Psyduck Candy Water Candy M

These are some of the most common candies you may have on hand. Most of these Pokemon also aren't very good helpers, with the exception of the Jigglypuff line, so it's best to repurpose their Candies to benefit your other helper Pokemon.

Psychic Candy M that you may get from Wobbuffet Candy is an especially good idea to use on Espeon to turn it into Eevee Candy. Eevee Candy can then be used on all Eeveelutions of any type.

Rock Candy M is best used for Pokemon like Larvitar, which requires more Pokemon Candy to level up as a Pseudo-Legendary line.

Events Featuring the Candy Cram-o-matic

Summer Festival Event

Pokemon Sleep - Summer Festival Event

The Candy Cram-o-matic makes its debut at the Summer Festival event alongside the Pokemon Cramorant. This Pokemon is the inspiration for the original Cram-o-matic in Pokemon Sword and Shield, as well as this Candy version in Pokemon Sleep.

Will the Candy Cram-o-matic Come Back Again?

Yes, it has been confirmed in the Summer Festival event notice that this feature is likely to come back again. However, the amount of Dream Shards and Candies needed for the Candy Cram-o-matic may change in the next event it's featured in once the developers have an idea of how users use this feature.

Unlikely to Become a Permanent Feature

Similar to the Candy Boost function, the Candy Cram-o-matic is unlikely to become a permanent feature in Pokemon Sleep.

This ability to make your own medium-sized type candies is already being limited to be used sparingly during the events it can be found in. It may make the game feel unbalanced if implemented permanently.
