How to Get Dream Coins |
---|
|
Going to sleep and then researching Sleep Styles during the New Year 2025 event will reward you with Dream Coins for each Sleep Style. Dream Coins will only be given during the first sleep session you have for the day if you do two.
If you’re lucky enough to encounter a Legendary Pokemon after your sleep session, you will be blessed with a large amount of Dream Coins. These Pokemon are very rare and require a high Snorlax rating.
It’s a good idea to go to research areas where these Pokemon can be found, then try to increase your Snorlax rating as quickly as you can if you want a chance to get more Dream Coins. Try your best to aim for a 100 Sleep Score as well.
The event missions for both weeks of New Year 2025 all reward Dream Coins in varying amounts. Try your best to complete them all!
Your research community friends have a chance to give you Dream Coins. Remember to check your research community through the main menu every day!
How to Add Friends and Benefits
If you are a minor and do not have access to the Research Community feature, 70 Dream Coins will be given out for free at the start of each event week instead. They should appear in your Gift Box as long as you log in before January 13.
Dream Coins are only obtainable and usable during the New Year 2025 event. They can be used at the Event Exchange, which will be open from December 30 when the event starts until January 15, 2025 at 3:59 AM local time.
Item | Description |
---|---|
Main Skill Seed | A mysterious seed that can raise the level of a Pokemon's main skill by one. |
The Event Exchange has a single Main Skill Seed in stock. Although expensive at 300 Dream Coins, it's worth it since this item is difficult to obtain without a Premium Pass.
For those without a Premium Pass subscription, the Main Skill Seed is very expensive costing 3,600 Sleep Points at the Regular Exchange.

---|---|
Great Biscuit | A nice treat that will make a Pokemon quite a bit more friendly toward you. This biscuit gives three friendship points. |
Great Biscuits are not as accessible for free-to-play players since they normally can only be purchased from the General Store using Diamonds or from the Premium Exchange, which requires a Premium Pass.
Use this event as an opportunity to stock up on Great Biscuits without having to pay real money.

Friend Incense | Ensures that at least one Pokemon will appear during snack time feeling particularly hungry. Good for one sleep session, then consumed. |
Similar to the Great Biscuit, Friend Incense can only be purchased for Diamonds at the General Store. Since events often ask you to use Incense as one of the missions, it’s a good idea to stock up on them whenever you can.
Dream Coins can only be used at the Event Exchange during the New Year 2025 event. They cannot be used anywhere else and will disappear once the store closes, so make sure to spend as much of it as you can during the event.
The Event Exchange can be found on the right side of the main screen, under the event icon.
