Every week, you have a chance to take care of a Shiny Snorlax in Pokemon Sleep! Find out Snorlax shiny odds, learn how to differentiate the normal Snorlax from its shiny form, as well as how to find a Shiny Snorlax in Pokemon Sleep.
List of Contents
The Snorlax that you take care of weekly in Pokemon Sleep is not Shiny locked. However, to get a Shiny Snorlax in your next research area, you will need a bit of luck.
Every Monday you will receive a new Snorlax. This is your one free chance per week for a Shiny Snorlax! At this stage we estimate the chance of a Shiny Weekly Snorlax to be the same as getting a Shiny Helper Pokemon. While those odds are also yet to be revealed, we believe it to be somewhere between 1 in 100 ~ 1 in 450.
If you find one make sure to take a screenshot and send it through to our Shiny Bragging Board!

If you're really set on finding a Shiny Snorlax using whatever means necessary, you can use an E-Zzz Travel Ticket to move to a new research area even if it's not yet Monday.
This item will not increase your Shiny odds, but it will allow you to find more than one Snorlax a week.
E-Zzz Travel Ticket Effect and How to Get
It may be painful, but we must say goodbye to Snorlax every Monday even if it is Shiny. There is currently no way to keep your Snorlax of the week.
There's no saying when you'll be able to encounter another Shiny Snorlax in Pokemon Sleep, so make sure to take a lot of screenshots before you say goodbye to your Shiny Snorlax.
It may be hard to tell the difference between Snorlax's normal color and its Shiny form. Snorlax's Shiny color is a tad more blue.
If you're having trouble telling them apart, don't worry. Shiny Snorlax should be obvious because of its Shiny animation. If you get a Shiny Snorlax, it should sparkle when you first see it. The Shiny animation should also play whenever you boot up the game.
If the Shiny animation doesn't play at all, it means your Snorlax is not Shiny.
It's easier to tell if your Snorlax is Shiny when you go to research areas with a different colored Snorlax, such as the Cyan Beach Snorlax.
Regardless of the research area's Snorlax color, Shiny Snorlax will always be blue. If you find a blue Snorlax in a research are that's supposed to have a different colored Snorlax, it's likely your Snorlax for that week is Shiny.
Research in progress! We will update this section once more information is available. Please check back soon! |
The Shiny odds for Snorlax are currently unknown, but since you only get one Snorlax for a week, it is a rather rare find. We currently estimate the odds to be somewhere between 1 in 100 ~ 1 in 450.
Twitter/X user @Doggo_online has shared their majestic rare find and have confirmed that the Shiny animation does appear if your Snorlax is Shiny. Check out how Shiny Snorlax sparkles upon Doggo opening the game in the tweet above!
