Best Daytime Helper Team: Ingredient Gathering and Skillful Helping

Pokemon Sleep - Best Daytime Helper Team
A Daytime Helper Team focuses on gathering ingredients and activating Main Skills while actively playing Pokemon Sleep during the day. Read on for an in-depth guide on what kind of Team to build and which Pokemon to use!

Best Type of Team for Daytime

Ingredient Gathering Pokemon with Useful Skills

Pokemon Sleep - Obtaining Ingredients

This daytime Helper Team is designed for when you are actively playing Pokemon Sleep and checking on your Pokemon out on the field. This is best used for when you want to gather more ingredients or activate particular Skills.

Ingredients always have to be manually picked up, and Main Skills only have a chance to activate for Pokemon when you tap on them. Since this is the Team you will be monitoring the most, these are the two best things for your Daytime Team to focus on.

When to Check on Your Pokemon

Each Pokemon obtains Berries and ingredients at particular time intervals. You can check the Frequency of their Help under Helping Stats in their respective Pokemon page.

Pokemon can obtain items before the time indicated in their Helping Stats, but in order to maximize your time, it's best to just check based on the average Frequency of Help of all the Pokemon in your Helper Team.

Pokemon With Ingredients You Want

Pokemon Sleep - Missing Recipe Ingredients
You may want to gather ingredients for recipes you've been trying to level up or recipes you want to test out. Add Pokemon who gather the ingredients you want more of to your Daytime Helper Team.

To check which ingredients your Pokemon can pick up, look at their Helping Stats. Tap on your Pokemon from the Box to open their information page which includes the Helping Stats.

You can also filter out the Pokemon who gather the ingredients you're looking for by using the Search function at the bottom of the Pokemon Box screen.

Ingredients Specialty is a Bonus

Each Pokemon has their own Specialty, which affects the amount of items they can get or how often Skills may trigger, depending on what their Specialty is. Pokemon with the Ingredients Specialty have increased chances of obtaining ingredients.

Pokemon With Skills You Want To Activate

Pokemon Sleep - Activating Main Skills

There are several useful Skills in Pokemon Sleep. For this Team, you'll want to look at the Main Skills, since those are the big Skills you have to manually trigger. Sub Skills are also useful once you've unlocked them, and they automatically work as long as the Pokemon is on the field.

If you want to focus on raising Snorlax, use Pokemon with the Charge Strength Skill for a chance to raise your Snorlax Strength.

You can also raise Snorlax by focusing on food. Use Pokemon with Ingredient Magnet or Cooking Power-Up so you can make stronger dishes for Snorlax. This pairs well with the ingredient gathering Pokemon in your Daytime Helper Team.

You may also want to use a Pokemon whose Skill involves regaining energy like Slowpoke with Energizing Cheer in case your Pokemon get too tired to work.

Skills Specialty is a Bonus

Pokemon with the Skills Specialty have increased chances of triggering their Main Skill. If you use a Pokemon with both the Skills Specialty and a Nature that boosts Main Skill chance, it is highly likely to have their Main Skill activate for the day.

Pokemon With High RP

Pokemon Sleep - Team RP

RP or Research Power helps you determine how good your Pokemon is at raising Snorlax. The higher the RP, the better your Pokemon can perform.

The effects of using higher RP Pokemon may not be too noticeable early on when your Pokemon are still in similar RP ranges. If that is the case for you, you do not need to consider RP yet when making your Helper Team. But it is still worth remembering for future builds.

Pokemon for Nap Time Team

Choose Medium Energy Pokemon

Pokemon Sleep - Pokemon Getting Tired

If you decide to take an afternoon nap and start a Sleep Session, make a new Helper Team and take semi-tired Pokemon with you. Your Pokemon will only gain as much energy as your Sleep Score, which isn't a lot for a nap.

Build a Helper Team of five Pokemon that could use a bit of energy, but aren't too tired. Pokemon that are too tired will still be tired after you take a nap, but Pokemon that are in the blue range of energy can go back up to green after a short nap.

Make sure to change back to your Daytime Helper Team or your Morning Helper Team after your nap!

How Sleep Score is Calculated

Best Natures for Daytime Helper Team

Nature Increased Stat Decreased Stat
Modest Ingredient finding Speed of help
Mild Ingredient finding Energy recovery
Rash Ingredient finding Main Skill chance
Quiet Ingredient finding EXP gains
Calm Main Skill chance Speed of help
Gentle Main Skill chance Energy recovery
Careful Main Skill chance Ingredient finding
Sassy Main Skill chance EXP gains

The best Natures to have for your Daytime Helper Team are those that boost Ingredient finding and Main Skill chance.

If you have a Pokemon whose purpose is to find ingredients, make sure its decreased stat is not Ingredient finding. Likewise, if you're trying to trigger a particular Pokemon's Main Skill, try to use a Pokemon without a decreased stat in Main Skill chance.
