May Have Issues with Unstable Networks

Pokemon Sleep announced ahead of the release of Version 1.0.9 that there are issues present in this upcoming version update for users with unstable internet connections. Pokemon Sleep requires an internet connection to work as this is how it keeps track of data.

For those who may experience these network-related issues, it is recommended to restart the app. Simply close the app and open it back up. Do not delete and reinstall the app unless you have already linked accounts to Pokemon Sleep as you may lose all of your data.

This issue appears to have been fixed in Version 1.0.10.

Game Contents Update

Version 1.0.9 Update - Game Contents
・Changes to make Pokémon in the Pokémon Box recover a small amount of Energy from sleep
・Changes to when fonts for other languages will be downloaded: when they become needed for display (this will apply to users who install or reinstall the app in the future)
・Changes to give a gift of diamonds to users who link their accounts or who have already linked accounts
・Changes to allow users to navigate to their bag from the Gift Box screen when the gift cannot be accepted because the bag’s items pocket is full

The most significant patch note for the Version 1.0.9 update is probably the first one which will allow Pokemon in your Box to recover Energy when you have a sleep session.

In previous versions, only Pokemon in your active Helper Team gain Energy when you go to sleep, which may be inconvenient if you switch around your Pokemon a lot. This update should make keeping a fully energized team on at all times much easier.

This update also rewards people who have linked accounts to their Pokemon Sleep account. This is likely due to the large number of people who have lost their Pokemon Sleep data after upgrading to a new iPhone using Apple's Quick Start feature.

Bug Fixes

Version 1.0.9 Update - Bug Fixes
・Fixes to a text error for Main Skill Energizing Cheer S. Changes were made to the text about Energy recovery to make it clear that the Pokemon must be in your team in order to be affected
・Fixes to a bug that returned the app to the title screen immediately after tapping a Pokemon that has found a candy on the home screen
・Fixes to a bug that caused Strength Gained to display as 0 when a recipe at max level (50) was cooked
・Fixes to a bug that caused adjustments based on Pokémon Natures not to be reflected when using candies to gain EXP
・Fixes to a bug that caused multiple messages to be unintentionally sent in a single day to the research community (when sleep is tracked twice in one day, the results of only the first sleep research session will be sent to friends)
・Fixes to a bug that caused session photos not to be displayed when the graphic quality was set low
・Fixes to a bug that caused Error 028001 to occur when the Auto Cook button was pressed repeatedly

Natures Are Now Affected by EXP Candy

Some Natures such as Naive and Hasty boost the EXP gains of Pokemon whenever they gain EXP from sleep sessions, but this was not in effect when using Candies to gain EXP in previous versions of Pokemon Sleep.

However, it is worth noting that some Natures such as Brave and Sassy reduce the EXP gains of Pokemon.

Text Errors Have Been Fixed

On October 11, about two weeks after the release of Version 1.0.10, Pokemon Sleep updated their list of bug fixes to include more points. Two of these appear to be text issues where the resulting text did not match the actual effect in the game.

They clarified the description of the Main Skill Energizing Cheer S. Before it used to say "Restores 14 Energy to another Pokemon chosen at random." Now, it says "Restores 14 Energy to one random Pokemon on your team."

They also fixed a bug that incorrectly displayed a Strength of 0 when a level 50 recipe was cooked. However, the correct amount would be reflected on the dish when Snorlax eats it.
