Pokemon Sleep is working on future updates to add the Holiday event, change certain main skills, add team slots, and more! Read on for a list of all of the planned updates they've announced for the next few versions of the Pokemon Sleep app from the end of 2024 to early 2025.

The only confirmed addition for the next update is the Holiday 2024 event. This will likely take place during the week of Christmas and Christmas Eve, from December 23 to 30, but no official announcement has been made at the moment. We can expect the next major update before this event.

Significant changes to some Pokemon main skills will be implemented in the future. Although Ditto, Mime Jr., and Mr. Mime are not Skills Specialty Pokemon, they will be given more distinct skills that are in line with their abilities or moves in mainline Pokemon games.
Players will also be able to register more teams in the game. Currently, you are only allowed to have five teams, which can be inconvenient if you make a different team for each research area. Hopefully, the future update will allow us to have more teams than there are islands in the game.

It would appear that the future of Pokemon Sleep includes more features that allow you to play the game while awake. Although it’s not quite clear what the new game mode and new event will be like, it seems like Pokemon that may not be very good helpers have a chance of being more useful with these additional features.
