List of All Events

New Pokemon: Cresselia!

New Pokemon Cresselia

Cresselia will become available in the game starting from 3 PM local time on March 31!

The Cresselia vs. Darkrai event will also give us an opportunity to obtain Darkrai at a later date if enough players participate in the event.

Cresselia Sleep Type, Helping Stats, and All Sleep Styles

Cresselia vs. Darkrai Event Mechanics

Event Drowsy Power and Event Rank

Pokemon Sleep - Drowsy Power

During Cresselia vs. Darkrai, all players' sleep sessions during the event will contribute to a shared Global Drowsy Power, which, when added to your own Drowsy Power, becomes your Event Drowsy Power. Global Drowsy Power is based on the average Drowsy Power of Pokemon Sleep players from two days before the particular date.

Your Event Drowsy Power will determine your event rank, and different rewards will be available depending on your rank. There are 15 event ranks, but you can only reach until Rank 8 during the first week.

There will likely be a Global Drowsy Power goal that we must meet if we want Darkrai to become available in the game.

Collect Cresselia Down for Cresselia Incense

Suicune Mane Collection Methods
Pokemon Sleep - Suicune Mane to Suicune Incense and Biscuit

  • Researching Pokemon after sleep sessions
  • Completing event missions
  • Receiving research from friends
  • Purchasing event bundles

This is based on the previous Suicune Research event.

Collecting Cresselia Down should be possible through your first sleep research of the day, event missions, Research Community reports, and event bundles during the Cresselia vs. Darkrai event. Cresselia Down can then be used at the Event Exchange to get items such as Cresselia Incense and Cresselia Biscuits.

Cresselia Down should also be available as event rank rewards.

Younger Pokemon Sleep players that do not have access to a Research Community can also receive a special gift of Suicune Mane to make up for having one less source of this event item.

Psychic-Type Pokemon are Better Helpers

Mime Jr. and Mr. Mime

Psychic-type Pokemon in the game will be better helpers for this event. They will get boosted helping stats, ingredients, and main skill chance.

Psychic-Type Pokemon Bonuses

Week 1 Week 2
Extra Ingredients 1 1
Main Skill Chance x1.5 x1.5
Main Skill Level +1 +3

During the research events for the Legendary Pokemon Raikou, Entei, and Suicune, Pokemon matching the featured Legendary’s type would get to obtain an extra ingredient, have an increased main skill chance, and an increased main skill level.

The Cresselia vs. Darkrai event has the same bonuses as those other events, this time for Psychic-type Pokemon.

Cresselia Gives Bonus Drowsy Power

In addition to the Psychic-type Pokemon bonuses, having Cresselia on your team also gives you 1.2x bonus Drowsy Power during your sleep session.

A Big Snorlax Appears on Week 2

Pokemon Sleep - Big Snorlax on Raikou Event Week 2

Following the format of previous Research events, a large Snorlax will appear during the start of the second week of the Cresselia vs. Darkrai event. This allows players to start at a higher Snorlax rating and potentially make it easier to encounter Suicune's rarer Sleep Styles.

Snorlax Starts at Ultra 4 on Greengrass Isle

If you choose Greengrass Isle as your research area on April 7, you can expect Snorlax to start at an Ultra 4 rating, similar to past research events.

Lower Rating Expected on Other Islands

The Cyan Beach Snorlax started at an Ultra 1 Rating during the Suicune Research event. Research areas with higher Snorlax Strength requirements per Snorlax Rating will likely start off at Great Snorlax Ratings to make it more balanced.

Additional Cresselia Incense and Cresselia Biscuits are expected to be added to the Event Exchange during the second week of the event, at lower prices.

Event Exchange Store Items and Prices

Cresselia Incense

Cresselia Incense cannot be purchased if you already have one in your bag. You can only have a maximum of one Cresselia Incense in your inventory at a time. Placing the Incense on a stump still counts as having it in your inventory until it is consumed after a completed sleep session.

Cresselia Biscuits

Cresselia Biscuits will only be usable during the Cresselia vs. Darkrai event. Once the event is over, any Cresselia Biscuits you have in your inventory will turn into Great Biscuits.

Lapis Lakeside for Most Psychich Types

Pokemon Sleep - Lapis Lakeside.png

Lapis Lakeside has the most amount of Psychic-type Pokemon, so it's the best island to go to if you have a strong enough team to get Snorlax Strength here. Since it's the home of most Psychic types, you have a good chance of gathering more Cresselia Down in this area.

Greengrass Isle for Beginners

Pokemon Sleep - Greengrass Isle Snorlax

For those who have not yet unlocked Lapis Lakeside or have not yet built a team that can sufficiently increase the rank of the Lapis Lakeside Snorlax, you may want to go to Greengrass Isle instead.

It still has a decent amount of Psychic-type Pokemon, and you can rise through the Snorlax ratings more quickly compared to other areas.

These Psychic-type Pokemon will be good to add to your helper team during the Cresselia vs. Darkrai event. It's recommended to catch Cresselia early on, so that you can get bonus Drowsy Power for the majority of the event.

Espeon, Mr. Mime, and Gardevoir in particular are pretty good helper Pokemon when it comes to their skills, helping stats, and ingredients.
