Press A to TalkPress A to Talk
To talk to a Pokemon, simply approach them and Press A! You can talk about their comfort level, gift them with items, or to follow you elsewhere!

Approach When They Have a Speech Bubble
Occasionally, Pokemon that you have befriended will approach to talk to you. These interactions are different depending on the speech bubble. If it has no sound effect, the Pokemon will usually show gratitude to you.
However, if it has a sound effect and the text is in yellow, this means that they're excited. This interaction could either lead to the Pokemon gifting you an item or ask you to play a game like Quiz, or Look That Way!
Most interactions with Pokemon will yield in increasing their comfort level, regardless of their outcome!
Unique Conversations
In some instances, you will find Pokemon interacting and conversing with each other. Talking to them will yield a unique dialogue pertaining to it as it will replace Talk with "What's this about?" as a prompt when you approach them!
Do note that unique conversations usually occur between Pokemon in the same evolutionary line or Pokemon that are known to have interactions in the wild. It's recommended to have related Pokemon stay together in the same area if you want to have a chance to view their unique conversations.
