Sturdy Stick |
A branch that fell off a tree somewhere. Perfect for making various toys and everyday items. |
Leaf |
A lush, vivid green leaf that you can obtain by cutting trees and grass. |
Stone |
Just a normal stone you can find anywhere. It can be used as a material for a lot of different things. |
Small log |
These can be processed into lumber, but they can also be used as is for certain crafting projects. |
Materials are raw resources that are used to craft various items and furniture in Pokopia. You can primarily obtain these materials in the overworld.

Materials can be found all over the overworld. You may pick them up by pressing the Y button.

Ditto will start inhaling when you hold the Y button. This is useful for getting multiple nearby items faster.

You may use moves on certain objects in the overworld in order to obtain materials. For example, using Cut on lumber and grass can net the players small logs and grass.
You may also use moves to create environmental pieces you gather materials from. This includes creating or revitalizing new patches of grass using Leafage or Water Gun.

Other Pokemon can create materials for you once you fulfill their requests to make use of their specialties. For example, Scyther can give you lumber after you give it small logs.

If you have enough materials in your inventory, you may craft useful items and furniture at a work bench. These items may help you in raising the Comfort Levels of the Pokemon that you have befriended.
Crafting Guide: How to Craft Items

You may use a storage box to store materials you may not want to carry around. If you place one next to a work bench, this allows you to use materials from inside the box rather than from your inventory.

If you talk to a Pokemon with a speech bubble hovering above them, they may give you a request. Pokemon may give you materials after you complete their requests.
