Pokemetal may be obtained by processing a Pokemetal fragments into a smelting furnace with the help of a Pokemon with the Burn Specialty. It takes some time to process, so try to stock up and keep your Pokemon friends busy!
Pokemetal fragments are obtained by breaking Pokemetal Blocks using the enhanced Rock Smash.
The recipe for Smelting Furnace may be obtained by meeting Magmar during the Rocky Ridge main story.
How to Get Pokemetal Fragments

You can find Pokemetal Blocks to get Pokemetal fragments from in the Withered Wasteland mine. The mine entrance is located north of the island, and it is blocked by a gate fence that can be removed using enhanced Cut.
To find the Pokemetal inside, proceed down the steps after entering, then immediately turn left at the fork and follow the railway track.

Pokemetal Blocks can also be found in Sparkling Skylands, on the floating island to the east. To reach the area, you'll need to learn how to transform into a Dragonite first by progressing through the main story.
If you are visiting the east island for the first time, you will encounter Gardevoir, who will direct you to the Pokemetal location.

You can also find Pokemetal Block to farm Pokemetal fragments by visiting Sky Dream Island. You can get there by giving Drifloon a Dragonite doll, which you may do once every day.

Pokemetal has a chance to be one of the items that can be traded from a Pokemon with the Trade Specialty. These Pokemon can start trading items after you set up a long table with a powered Cash Register.
