The Miscellaneous items category consist mostly of decorative items that can be placed on the wall, ceiling, or floor but cannot be interacted with, with the exception of a few.
Outdoor items, as the name implies, are items that are best suited to be used outdoors. Though they can also be placed inside houses or dens, some of them can take up a lot of space due to their size.
Items under this category have varied functionality so be sure to check each of them out. Some may also be required to create a Habitat and unlock a new Pokemon!
Utility items are mostly functional decorations or tools, such as lighting and workbenches.
Buildings are structural items that are used for creating houses such as steps, doors, fences, and even roads!
Blocks are items that can be obtained naturally from anywhere with Rock Smash and used for terraforming or building walls for homes.

Building kits are essentially blueprints that will allow you to construct ready-made houses or dens. After setting up a building kit, you must still acquire the necessary materials and invite the required Pokemon to construct it.
