The first event for Pokopia will be held for around two weeks, from Tuesday, March 10 at 5:00 AM local time to Wednesday, March 25 at 4:59 AM local time, just a few days after the launch of the game.
This limited event gives players an opportunity to befriend Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff, who are not available in the game outside of this event.
More Spores for Hoppip will likely be a recurring springtime event for the game, similar to the holiday events in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Take note that it is possible to time travel to this event. There are no penalties to time traveling to and from the event dates.
If time traveling backwards from the future, make sure you first time travel to a previous date before time traveling forward to your intended date.

Hoppip is the "talk of the town" Pokemon for this event. You can start the event by talking to Hoppip at any fully-built Pokemon Center in your game world.
Take note that Hoppip can only appear in your main areas and not on a Cloud Island.

There are three habitats you can make using items exclusive to the Hoppip event. These are the Yellow Carpet habitat, the Field-trip friends habitat, and the Dandelion lunchtime habitat.

To create a Yellow Carpet habitat, you will need to arrange 4 Dandy Flowers connected together. Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff can live in this habitat.

To create a Field-Trip Friends habitat, you will need 1 Flower Backpack, 1 Lunch Box, and 1 Hoppip Water Bottle all connected together. This habitat exclusively spawns Skiploom and cannot be used for other event Pokemon.

To create a Dandelion Lunchtime habitat, you will need to arrange 1 Dandy Flowers, 1 Flower Cushion, 1 Flowery Table Setting, and 1 Lunch Box together. This habitat exclusively spawns Jumpluff, increasing the odds of them appearing during the event period.

Special cotton spores will appear on Dream Islands during this event. You can access Dream Islands by giving any doll to Drifloon. Cotton Spores will always spawn in any Dream Island you go to as long as the event is active.

Cotton spores collected during the More Spores for Hoppip event can be exchanged at the Pokemon Center for picnic-themed items, which are event-exclusive.
Some of the picnic-themed event items can be used to create habitats and summon the featured event Pokemon.
How to Build Every Type of Habitat

During this event, there will be three Pokemon who will appear that are normally not in the game. These Pokemon are Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff.
Create the Yellow Carpet, Field-Trip Friends, and Dandelion Lunchtime Habitats to get the event Pokemon to appear!

Hoppip will only appear in areas that have their Pokemon Centers fully repaired. You will need to talk to Hoppip to start the event.
Since Pokemon Centers may take a while to get built, try your best to progress the game, explore the different areas, and finish as many Pokemon Center construction projects before the event starts.
How to Rebuild the Pokemon Center

Cloud Islands, which are multiplayer islands separate from the main campaign, will not be part of the event. This means that Hoppip, Jumpluff, and Skiploom cannot appear in these Cloud Islands, and the special event items will also be unavailable.
