Pokemon Pokopia - Best Way to Level the Ground for Building

Level the ground using Rock Smash, Rollout, or Magnet Rise if you don't have enough space to build in Pokemon Pokopia. Check out the best way to level the ground and the things to do before leveling the land in this guide!

How to Level the Ground for Building

Use Rollout for Efficiency

In order to efficiently level the ground, you can utilize Rollout as they can easily destroy blocks while speeding ahead! You can learn this move by doing Graveler's Request

Use Rock Smash for More Control

Restore Blocks with Magnet Rise

If you find yourself dissatisfied with the level of the ground, you can easily add blocks using Magnet Rise to restore the ground! It allows you to spit out terrain blocks with a 3x3x1 scale measurement, which can help build terrain structures more easily during the game.

However, Magnet Rise can only be unlocked in the postgame after completing the main story.

What to Do Before Leveling the Ground

Strengthen Moves with Hamburger Steak

Consuming a hamburger steak will increase the potency of Rollout and Rock Smash, allowing you to destroy harder blocks like Copper.

Any type of hamburger steak dish can strengthen Pokemon moves!

Prepare Storage Boxes

Destroying blocks at a very fast pace will yield you several stacks of blocks in your inventory. It's recommended that you prepare storage boxes nearby, so that you can dump the stacks of blocks that you have.

These blocks can be use elsewhere like manually build houses, so its best to keep them for these situations!

How to Organize Your Storage

Determine the Place That You’re Going to Level

It's best to know the place that you want to level first so that you can plan ahead on how many structures you want in the land that you're leveling. You can elevate yourself somewhere by stacking blocks up so that you can scope out the land!

How to Place Blocks Below You

Cut Down Trees

Trees cannot be destroyed when you're using Rollout or Rock Smash, and once you destroy the blocks underneath it, they'll remain floating despite having no ground.

This can lead to difficulty in cutting them down afterwards, especially the ones that are elevated. It's recommended to use Cut to cut down Trees beforehand to make the process of levelling much more comfortable!

If you have access to Magnet Rise, you can easily move trees and large objects without destroying them!

Brings Items That Can Recover PP

Leppa Berry

As you will be utilizing Pokemon moves to level the ground, bring a lot of items that can aid you in recovering PP to continue using moves! Items like Leppa Berries and Carrots are good examples, as they are easily attainable.

If you don't have any food in your inventory, going to a Pokemon Center is the easiest way to restore it. Keep in mind that you can only recover using the Pokemon Center once a day.

How to Recover PP

Remove Pokemon That Live Nearby

If there are Pokemon that live nearby, you can move them elsewhere before leveling the ground to avoid destroying their habitats, rendering them homeless! You can do this by creating a house or a new habitat for them to move into.
