A demo for Pokemon Pokopia was available during EUIC on February 13-15. Read on for more information on the Pokopia demo and updates for when the demo may become available again.

Is There a Pokopia Demo?

Demo Available at EUIC

A demo for Pokopia was available to play during the European International Championships for the various competitive Pokemon games on February 13-15, 2026.

Dedicated setups consisting of Nintendo Switch 2 systems with the Pokopia demo were available at this event for attendees to try out the game.

Demo May Come to Physical Stores

While no announcement has been made regarding the demo availability, it's possible that the Pokopia demo may become available at more locations such as physical game stores in the US.

Nintendo Switch 2-exclusive games such as Donkey Kong Bananza and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment have had demos available at physical stores only a few days before the launch of their games. We may see this trend repeat for the Pokopia launch.

There is currently no demo available on the Ninendo eShop for the Pokopia game listing. It's possible that a demo may be released in the future, maybe even after the game has already come out.

What Can You Do in the Demo?

20 Minutes of Play Time

Start of the Game

The demo that was available at EUIC allowed players 20 minutes to explore the game.

You do not start from the very beginning of the game. Several Pokemon are already living on the island, and you have access to certain moves such as Glide from Dragonite and Surf from Lapras.

Discover Pokemon Habitats

Meeting Bulbasaur

You will be able to explore the island and discover Pokemon by creating their habitats, aided by helpful hints. Some Pokemon like Bulbasaur may appear and teach you their moves as a reward for completing their requests.

Craft Furniture

Crafting at a Workbench
Crafting is available in the demo as long as you've collected the required materials. You can craft to decorate the island or improve the comfort of your Pokemon.
