In an interview, Takuto Edagawa, the director of Pokemon Pokopia, shared that the game will take 20-40 hours to beat.
The director noted that the point of the game isn't to play it until the credits roll as it is a life sim game, but it will take those amount of hours to finish Pokopia.

For completionists, we are speculating that it will take around 100 hours to fully complete Pokopia, which involves discovering all Pokemon and habitats, getting all recipes and crafting them, and even gathering all collectibles.
Pokemon Pokopia, even as a life sim game, contains collectibles that are found all across the map. These serve as lore tidbits which tell about the world after humans have disappeared.
Aside from collectibles, players also need to encounter and befriend all Pokemon, discover every habitat, and get all crafting recipes. Some mechanics, like when a Pokemon shows up, are also dependent on real time, so waiting for time to pass is likely to be a big part of the whole gameplay loop.

Pokopia is designed to be a game that is played slowly and at your own space, so the time it will take to beat the game will really depend on how you approach the game.
If you are the kind of player who is into cozy games, you are more than likely to sink hundreds of hours into the game. Pokopia offers players a vast space to explore and decorate with various items, furniture, and buildings, and the game does not rush you into completing it as fast as possible.

Additionally, building construction in the game is tied to real time rather than some form of in-game clock. Due to this, you are likely to spend several hours waiting for your Pokemon to complete a building.
