Use Return Home in the Pokedex Menu

Return Home

If you get stuck in a location where you can't seem to get out or escape, you can use the Return Home button found in the Pokedex menu to either teleport to your house or to the nearest safe location if you do not have a house yet in the area.

Place Blocks Under Your Feet

Place Blocks Underneath

You can also try placing blocks under your feet to stack yourself out of a ditch. Aim your camera below your character and press A to place down blocks in order to stack.

Using Rock Smash on a Rock Pile

If you have met Hitmonchan, you will be able to learn Rock Smash. With Rock Smash, you can punch your way out of a tough spot.

If all else fails, you may need to restart the game from your HOME menu. Pokemon Pokopia runs on autosave, so you will be transported back to your last autosave if you restart the game.

Don't Dig Too Deep Down

Stuck in a Hole

Don't dig too deep down. If you dig too far down, you will not be able to jump out unless you have the blocks you need to build up.

Avoid Falling Into Deep Water

Stuck in the middle of the water

Ditto will black out if it stays more than 1 block in the water for too long. It is especially difficult if you end up stuck on a block surrounded by deep water.

Learn More Moves Before Exploring

Befriend Scyther for the Cut Ability

Try to learn more Pokemon Moves before venturing out into the wild. The most important moves you should learn are Cut, Rock Smash, and Jump.
