Talk to Zorua

Zorua Hide and Seek

Playing Hide-and-Seek is possible by talking to Zorua in your village after learning Camouflage from them by meeting and completing their request. Afterwards, you will be able to invite friends to participate in Hide-and-Seek by interacting with Zorua.

Hide if Not the Seeker

Hide-and-Seek Hiding
If you're playing as the hider, you’ll need to avoid the seeker and stay hidden as long as possible. You can hide behind trees, stalls, or any features on your island to avoid being found.

Other than that, you can also disguise yourself as an object to attempt to hide in plain sight.

Use Camouflage to Disguise as Objects

A cool feature in this minigame is the ability to transform into objects using the Camouflage ability. If you do not have any good spots to hide in, you can transform yourself into an object and attempt blend into the background as an object.

To use Camouflage, press ZR while near an object to copy its appearance. Using this move will cause you to move slowly and prevent you from interacting with other Pokemon.

Look for Hiding Players

Seeker Player
As the seeker, you simply need to spot the other players who are hiding. You can check common hiding spots or look for oddly placed objects in your surroundings to see if they are actually other players in disguise.

Bring a Pokemon to Join the Game

You can also bring along Pokemon to help you search. While it is not yet clear how they help, they can at least accompany you as you look for the other players during a game of hide-and-seek!

Befriend Zorua

Camouflage Effects

In order to access Hide-and-Seek, you must first befriend Zorua by building your home in Bleak Beach and waiting for Zorua's initial event to occur by the Pokemon Center.

You must then complete their request until you can unlock Camouflage. Doing so will also allow you to play Hide-and-Seek, permanently unlocking it as a mini-game you can access.

Multiplayer Mode
The Hide-and-Seek minigame is one of the features of Multiplayer Mode. It allows you to play the classic Hide-and-Seek with three other players, with the added twist of being able to transform into objects to increase the difficulty.
