The Explode Specialty can be used with a cannon to destroy a wide area of blocks in Pokemon Pokopia. See the list of Pokemon with Explode Specialty and how to use it here in this guide!

Voltorb and Electrode are the easiest Pokemon with Explode Specialty that can befriended! They can be found on either the Park Bench or Playing Pirate Habitats.
Habitat Dex: How to Build All Habitats
Players can relocate Explode Pokemon and their Habitats to other areas to help Ditto restore other wastelands.
However, we do recommend having at least one Explode Pokemon in each area instead of having them relocate every time you move to another area. This is to reduce the hassle and keep you engaged in finding new Pokemon to befriend.

The Explode Specialty can only be used with a Cannon. This means that if you want to use this Pokemon's Specialty, you will need to have a Cannon with you at all times. The Cannon can be crafted at a Workbench or purchased from the PC Shop.
You can use fireworks as ammo for the Cannon if you don't have a Pokemon with Explode Specialty yet. Fireworks can also be crafted at a Workbench or purchased from the PC Shop.

To use the Explode Specialty, place a Cannon on the ground, and lead a Pokemon with the Specialty inside it. Then, interact with the Cannon again to light it up. It will take a few seconds for the Cannon to fire, and once it does, it will destroy a wide area of blocks at a distance.
The Cannon will fire in whichever direction it is facing. However, the way it is tilted cannot be adjusted, so you cannot adjust the distance at which it would fire. You either need to place the Cannon near the target or place it higher by putting blocks beneath it.
You only need to interact with the Cannon to light it up. You don't need a Fire-type Pokemon or anyone who has the Burn Specialty to light the Cannon.
