Pokemon Pokopia - How to Create a Water Source

You can create a water source in Pokemon Pokopia by inhaling and storing water with the move Suck, then spitting it out onto another spot. Read on to learn how to create a water source and the benefits of having water sources.

How to Create a Water Source

  1. Unlock the Move Suck
  2. Suck Some Water
  3. Spit Water Onto Any Block

Unlock the Move Suck

Using the Move Suck

To create a water source, Ditto will need to be able to hold water in its mouth. To do this, it will need to learn the move Suck.

To do this, you will need to trigger the Make a waterfall request and befriend Paldean Wooper.

Suck Some Water

To get water, you may use Suck on any body of water in the biome you wish to create a water source in. It is best that you suck water from a source with a waterfall so that the water flows again instead of leaving an empty block.

Use a Vending Machine Drink

Soda PopSoda Pop Fizzy, sparkling soda. If you take a sip and spit it out, it becomes seawater!
Moomoo Milk coffeeMoomoo Milk coffee Milky coffee with a comfortingly sweet taste. If you take a sip and spit it out, it becomes muddy water!
Roserade TeaRoserade Tea Tea with a delicate, elegant aroma. If you take a sip and spit it out, it becomes a hot spring!

Alternatively, you may use a drink in order to suck some liquids. You may obtain drinks by interacting with any powered vending machine once a day.

Listed above are the drinks that can give you water. Keep in mind that the vending machine can also give you chili sauce, which makes you spit out lava instead.

Spit Water Onto Any Block

Spit the Hot-Spring Water Into the Pool

Once Ditto has water in its mouth, make it walk to the desired area. After aiming at the correct spot, press the A button to spit the water out and create a water source.

Keep in mind that the water may flood if you spit it onto an open space. It is best to create a pool beforehand to put the water in.

Spit Into an Elevated Block to Create a Waterfall

Spit Water Onto a Nearby Elevated Block

You may also spit water on a spot with higher elevation in order to create a waterfall. This will make it so the water from below will not disappear once you suck it again.

How to Remove a Water Source

Use Suck to Remove the Water

Using Suck on a Hot Spring

You may use Suck to remove water sources as well. You will need to hold the Y and ZR buttons until the area is dried up.

Stop the Flow of Water With Blocks

Activate Waterwheels to Generate Electricity

Can Power Items That Need Electricity

If a waterwheel has water running under it, then it can generate electricity.

You may place utility poles in order to power items that need electricity. You may do this by creating a line that connects from an item to the waterwheel.

You can tell a utility pole is connected to the waterwheel if it lights up once you've set it in place.
