The Recycle Specialty can turn Nonburnable Garbage into Iron Ore in Pokemon Pokopia. See the list of Pokemon with Recycle Specialty and how to use it here in this guide!

Set up habitats that can attract Pokemon with the Recycle Specialty, with the easiest one being the Trash Collection Site habitat! The Trash Collection Site habitat can attract either Trubbish or Garbodor.
How to Build Every Type of Habitat

When you are in-need of Iron Ores, Garbodor can use its Litter Specialty to drop Nonburnable Garbage near its Habitat. Then, submit the Nonburnable Garbage to Garbodor so it can use its Recycle Specialty to turn it into Iron Ores.
This process can be used over and over again, because Pokemon with Litter Specialty will drop items continuously at their Habitat. This is possible even without giving the Pokemon anything or even when it’s not in its Habitat.
Players can relocate Recycle Pokemon and their Habitats to other areas to help Ditto restore other wastelands.
However, we do recommend having at least one Recycle Pokemon in each area instead of having them relocate every time you move to another area. This is to reduce the hassle and keep you engaged in finding new Pokemon to befriend.

The Recycle Specialty is used when submitting Nonburnable Garbage to the Pokemon that has the Specialty. The Pokemon then turns the Nonburnable Garbage into Iron Ore. This mechanic is similar on how the Chop Specialty works.
The Nonburnable Garbage will always turn into Iron Ore no matter what and it will not turn into any other item. Additionally, Nonburnable Garbage can be obtained by picking it up from the ground, especially at Bleak Beach.
