Cut Effects

Slice Weaker Objects

using Cut on tall grass and wood

Cut is a Move that is mainly used for slicing through objects, like tall grass and wood. Since this is a Pokemon Move, it consumes PP when used.

Obtain Materials From Cut Objects

materials obtained through Cut

Some materials can be obtained by using Cut on objects. For example, using Cut on a tall grass patch will yield a leaf, while using it on a pile of wood will yield some pieces of small logs.

How to Learn Cut

Find Scyther

Scyther found

Cut can be learned from Scyther, so you must first get Scyther to spawn on your island.

Scyther's habitat is the tree-shaded tall grass Habitat, which requires 4 patches of hydrated tall grass around a lush tree. If you find a lush tree, you can use Leafage to create 4 patches of grass around it to form the tree-shaded tall grass Habitat.

Complete Scyther's Request

Scyther

Once Scyther appears on your island, they may ask you to fulfill a simple Request for them. Scyther's first Request is to bring 2 sturdy sticks. Complete this Request and Scyther will teach you Cut!
