Skip the news intro after starting up Splatoon 3 by switching to Listen Mode. Read on to learn how to switch to Listen Mode and toggle back to Watch Mode.

By switching to listen mode, the Splatcast does not actually end. They will still announce the stages and you can still view them in the upper-left corner of the screen. However, you are now free to walk around Splatsville without having to wait for it to finish.
To return to the Splatcast, you simply need to press the Left Analog stick again on your Joycon again.
You can toggle between these two modes at any time while the newscast is ongoing.
