Survey all of the sites to unlock various collectibles and rewards in Hero Mode for Splatoon 3. Continue reading to learn how to survey each site, and the rewards you receive for completing them.

Clear All Stages and Find All Collectibles

Find the collectibles hidden in each site.

Check the map menu to confirm the status of each site.

To completely survey each site, you must find every hidden collectible and clear every stage in each site. You can always check the upper left corner of your map screen to confirm which collectibles have not been found yet.

Clear All Stages to Unlock After Alterna

Clearing all of the stages in Hero Mode will also unlock a secret stage: After Alterna. For those looking for one final challenge in Hero Mode, we recommend trying this stage when you unlock it.

Explore Every Part of Each Site

Along with finding collectibles and clearing stages, you must also explore every inch of each site to fill out the map. Since there are certain parts of each map that cannot be easily reached, we recommend inking every part of the stage to compensate.

Check Your Progress in SplatNet 3

Select the Story Mode icon in the Splatnet 3 app.

The amount of items collected for each site is displayed here.

The number of stages cleared for each site, as well as the clear time can be checked as well.

By using the Splatnet 3 app on your smartphone, you can check the exploration rate for each site in Hero Mode. The clear times for each stage in every site can be confirmed as well.

Rewards for Surveying All Sites

Receive Site Stickers

You receive site stickers for every site surveyed.

Stickers can be used to decorate your locker.

Talk to Agent 2 at the Squid Sisters Camp after fully surveying a site to receive a site sticker. Site stickers can be received at the lobby terminal, and can be used to decorate your locker.

Unlock the Shel-Drone

Clearing all stages in each site will unlock the Shel-Drone, which is found near the Squid Sisters Camp. By paying a fee of 999 Power Eggs, you can use it to collect items found in each site.

Any player who has access to the Splatnet 3 app can download a special wallpaper after completely surveying all sites in Alterna. The wallpapaer comes in 2 sizes, making it a good fit for both various devices.

How to Check Areas of Interest

Use Smalfry to Search For Items

Areas of Interest are the green areas found on each site's map. Exploring these areas with Smallfry will allow you to find any of the hidden collectibles remaining in each site, so take time to explore each section when you can.

Ink Areas to Uncover Hidden Items

Although Smallfry will guide you to the general area of a hidden collectible, there are times where you will have to ink the surrounding area to pinpoint the exact location. Make sure to ink ground near Smallfry whenever you can't immediately find the hidden collectible.
