Agent 3 is the main protagonist of Splatoon 3, whose partner is an adorable salmonid. Together, they fight against the Octarian Army after being assigned as Agent 3 for the New Squidbeak Splatoon by Cuttlefish in the Return of the Mammalian.

The title "Agent 3" first appeared during the events of Splatoon 1, being assigned to an inkling by Cuttlefish for the New Squidbeak Splatoon. They helped defeat the Octarian army and defeat DJ Octavio.

However, Agent 3 in Splatoon 3 is now different, being given to a new recruit after the previous owner was promoted to captain by Cuttlefish following his retirement.

  • Agent 3 is not a name but a title given by Cap'n Cuttlefish, and since the previous Agent 3 was promoted to captain, the title was now vacant and given to the player.
  • At Camp Cuttle, when interacting with the "Captain's" sketch inside the tent, you can change the captain's appearance if you answer "It's not quite right..." to Cuttlefish's question.
