The Scrapper is a medium-sized Boss Salmonid with forward-facing ink-repellent shields with a noticeable opening on its backside. As a result, this boss always faces forward when chasing after a player.
Take care and avoid circling the Scrapper if its shields aren't broken yet as it can quickly turn around and charge at the player, which will damage you and knock you back quite a distance!
The Scrapper will always chase after the closest player once it spawns. If another player attacks it though, it will stop moving and change direction to slowly chase after the player that last hit it!
How to Defeat Scrapper | |
---|---|
Although the Scrapper is protected by shields, splatting it enough will cause it to break apart. When this happens, the Salmonid driving the contraption will stop and attempt to repair its vehicle.
Use this opportunity to quickly head to its unshielded backside and splat it with ink to defeat it!
The Scrapper's shields are immune to specials, however they will still heavily damage it and force the driver to stop and make repairs. The projectiles from the Crab Tank, for example, will break the Scrapper's shield in just a few hits!
Alternatively, a well-placed throw of the Booyah Bomb or a shot from the Inkjet can instantly splat the Scrapper if you manage to hit its backside even if you haven't damaged its shields yet!
