Weapon Freshness Rewards

Weapon Badges

Increasing your Weapon Freshness allows you to earn unique badges that you can't obtain anywhere else in the game. When you get a weapon to 4-star freshness, you obtain a weapon badge, but getting it to 5-star freshness earns you a golden weapon badge.

Earns You More In-Game Currency

With more Weapon Freshness, you will be able to receive more rewards for your efforts. These include Sheldon Licenses which you can use at Ammo Knights to purchase additional weapons.

What is Weapon Freshness?

Weapon Mastery

Weapon Freshness is how Splatoon 3 shows how good you are with using certain weapons. Using your weapons in matches and defeating opponents will earn your weapon more Freshness Points. This shows how much you've mastered these weapons.

Find it in the Equip Menu

To check your Weapons Freshness, press the + button to open your Equip Menu. Press ZR to toggle through the menu pages. You can find a Weapon's Freshness level on the upper right.

How to Increase Weapon Freshness

Play Plenty of Matches

Playing lots of matches with a single weapon will help increase its Freshness. However, this shouldn't deter you from using other weapons.

Using different weapons and raising each of their Freshness will make it so you can earn more rewards! This not only gains you in-game rewards, but this also makes you a flexible teammate!
