Goldie Seeking Mechanics and How to Beat

Goldie Seeking is a Known Occurrence in Splatoon 3's Salmon Run Next Wave where players need to search gushers around the map and find the Goldie hiding within. Read on to learn about this special wave's mechanics, as well as how to beat it and strategies.

How to Get Golden Eggs	Attack and defeat the Goldie.
Special Wave Information	Gushers will appear around the map with a Goldie hiding in one of them. Attacking the Goldie causes it to drop Golden Eggs, while splatting it will cause it to drop all of its Golden Eggs.

Find the Goldie in the Correct Gusher

During Goldie Seeking, multiple Gushers will spawn around the map with the Goldie Boss Salmonid hiding in one of them.

Attacking the Goldie causes it to drop Golden Eggs, but it will also start running away and will eventually hide in another gusher! Try to get as many Golden Eggs to fill the quota!

Lesser Salmonids No Longer Spawn

In Splatoon 2, attacking the wrong gusher causes multiple Lesser Salmonids to appear and can eventually swarm the entire team.

This feature was removed in Salmon Run Next Wave, making this special wave less hazardous to do!

Split Up in Teams of Two Look for the Tall Glowing Gusher

Split Up in Teams of Two

At the start of the wave, split up into two teams and focus on different sides of the map so you can efficiently search each gusher for the Goldie.

The Goldie is harmless during this special wave, but it has a surprisingly high HP. Have one player focus on inking it while the other grabs the Golden Eggs it drops!

Look for the Tall Glowing Gusher

You can tell where the Goldie is hiding if the gusher has a faint golden glow in its base. Additionally, the gusher hiding the Goldie will grow taller if you get too close to it.

Only one Goldie appears during this Special Wave so if you find it, make sure to call your team's attention so you can get as many Golden Eggs as possible!
