Shields and Deploys Lesser Salmonids
The Slammin' Lid is a relatively slow Boss Salmonid that plays support for Lesser Salmonids, using its powerful ink-repellent shield to protect them from your team's weapons.
Apart from providing support, it also deploys Lesser Salominds from underneath it. This makes it a top priority in higher hazard levels as it will continuously deploy Lesser Salmonids until you splat it!
Attacks with a Ground Slam
Although usually immobile, the Slammin' Lid will slam down into the ground if a player goes under the saucer. This is a surprisingly fast attack and, due to the saucer's large size, can cover and ink a wide area of turf!

Bait it into Attacking and Jump on the Saucer
To beat the Slammin' Lid, you need to quickly run or swim underneath the saucer to bait its slam attack. Evade the slam, and then jump on the saucer and splat the pilot!
Quickly maneuvering under the Slammin' Lid takes some practice, so it's also a good idea to coordinate with your teammates so that another player is ready to jump on the saucer once it slams down.
Ink the Saucer Pilot Directly
The Slammin' Lid's pilot is vulnerable to attacks even before slamming down its saucer, so it's possible to ink it with a long-range weapon.
If you're provided the Splat Charger at the start of the wave, head up a platform and try to snipe the Slammin' Lid's pilot. A couple of fully-charged attacks From the Splat Charger will instantly splat the Boss Salmonid!
