Shiver

Shiver is an Octoling with blue hair and red pupils. Her hair covers her left eye and she wears three earrings on her right ear.

Just like what her name implies, Shiver is cool! Her sly smile and alluring eyes make her look mysterious yet charming. No wonder she stole the hearts of many inklings and octolings during the Splatfest World Premiere.

She hosts the Anarchy Splatcast alongside other Deep Cut members, Frye and Big Man.

Frye

Frye is a brown-skinned inkling with yellow hair and pupils. Just like Shiver, she wears three earrings on her right ear.

She seems to be a lot more energetic and bubbly than her co-hosts Shiver and Big Man! As opposed to Shiver's cold theme, Frye's name evokes warmth.

During Splatfests, she represents the yellow option.

Big Man

Big Man is a huge gray manta ray who co-hosts Anarchy Splatcast alongside Frye and Shiver.

He only knows one word, “Ay!”, but that has never stopped him from delivering the latest news to everyone in Splatsville. Don't worry though because there is a translation for everything he is saying so it's all good!

Who are the Deep Cut Trio?

Anarchy Splatcast Hosts

An Octoling named Shiver, an Inkling named Frye, and a Manta Ray named Big Man make up the Deep Cut.

The stylish trio host the Splatsville news program Anarchy Splatcast where they provide the latest news on Splatfests, battle stages, and other news bulletins.

They hosted the Splatfest World Premiere held last August 27, 2022 and they'll also be hosting all Splatfests that will follow after!

Aside from hosting, the trio also performs and creates music. Their smash hit “Anarchy Rainbow” made its debut when the Deep Cut: Anarchy Rainbow trailer came out.

Previous Splatoon Idols

Callie and Marie

Callie and Marie were the original idols of the first Splatoon game, collectively known as the Squid Sisters. These two characters have made their return in Splatoon 3, but instead of idols, the two are characters in the game's Hero Mode.

Callie is Agent 1 while Marie is Agent 2. Together with your playable character, Agent 3, and the new captain of the New Squidbeak Splatoon, you must go out on adventure to defeat the Octarian Army.

Pearl and Marina

Pearl and Marina were the idols of Splatoon 2, and were collectively known as Off the Hook. The two hosted Inkopolis News and also made an appearance in the Octo Expansion DLC of the game.

Though they haven't appeared in their in-game form in Splatoon 3, their songs are present in the game. Their new band, Damp Socks feat. Off the Hook provides some of the songs in the game, including Tentacle to the Metal and Candy-Coated Rocks!
