The Mothership is a Known Occurrence in Splatoon 3's Salmon Run Next Wave where Chinooks drop Lesser Salmonids on the stage while the Mothership attempts to steal Golden Eggs from the Egg Basket. Read on to learn about this special wave's mechanics, as well as how to beat it and strategies.

| Special Wave Information | Chinooks will drop down from the sky and attempt to release Lesser Salmonids from their boxes.The Mothership will appear and attempt to steal Golden Eggs from the Egg Basket. |
Splat Chinooks to Get Golden Eggs
Once the wave starts, small flying Salmonids called Chinooks will slowly drop from the sky. These Lesser Salmonids carry boxes that you need to splat to get the Golden Eggs inside!
Fend Off the Mothership
The titular Mothership will also appear once you collect enough Golden Eggs in the Egg Basket. This gigantic Boss Salmonid doesn't attack, but will attempt to vacuum the Golden Eggs from the basket!
You need to shoot the Mothership as it attempts to steal the Golden Eggs. Ink it enough and it will relinquish any stolen Golden Eggs and flee the scene!
Mr. Grizz Sends Out Warnings
Mr. Grizz will send out notifications urging players to defend the Egg Basket when the Mothership appears. Keep a look out for his transmissions and move quickly as the Mothership steals eggs fast!

Focus on Shooting Down Chinooks
Your team's focus during this special wave is shooting down Chinooks to get as many Golden Eggs as possible. Fortunately, a lot of these Lesser Salmonids spawn during the Known Occurrence so make sure you get enough to fill your quota!
The Crates Contain Lesser Salmonids
Chinooks that land on the stage will release Lesser Salmonids from their boxes and you can't splat them anymore for Golden Eggs.
While these Lesser Salmonids are relatively weak, many can spawn if you let enough Chinook drop on the stage!
Use a Special on the Mothership
If your other teammates are busy grabbing Golden Eggs and a Mothership is already stealing eggs from the Egg Basket, use your special to drive it away instantly!
