Before the main event officially starts, players can start selecting a team to represent in the Splatfest during its Sneak Peek. You can pick your team at the Pledge Box located at a booth down the stairs from the front the lobby in Splatsville.
While waiting for the event, you can promote your team to other players by drawing art and messages in the mailbox.
The Splatfest Sneak Peak starts around one week before the main event. Once the Sneak Peak starts, you will be able to vote for your team and earn Conch Shells.
How to Play the Splatfest |

Once the main event begins, you can start participating in Splatfest battles at the lobby. You can either join an Open or Pro battle. Either of these battles allow you to earn clout and increase the chances of your team winning.
Splatfest Battles during the first part of the event will have the same rules as a regular Turf War. However, you now earn Clout and Splatfest Points at the end of a battle instead of Conch Shells.
Players who get disconnected after a match begins will automatically be assigned a loss. However, this does not affect the other players who participated and stayed connected in the battle.
During the second half of the Splatfest, Players will be able to play Tricolor Turf Wars, which have similar mechanics to Turf War, but instead of two teams, there will be three teams participating in a single match.
Four members from the leading team will spawn in the middle of the stage, while two members from each opposing team flank them from opposite sides. The leading team must defend the turf from the two opposing sides ganging up on them.
Splatfest Results usually come out within 12 hours after the event ends. The results of the event are announced by the members of Deep Cut in their Anarchy Splatcast news show. You can also look for an official announcement by Nintendo on their official Twitter account.
The final results will depend on three factors: the amount of Clout each member receives, the team's vote popularity, and how many Conch Shells each member got during the Sneak Peek. The winning team receives a larger share of the Super Sea Snail prize pool.
You can help your team win the Splatfest even before the official event begins by earning Conch Shells during the Sneak Peek.
Conch Shells are earned by leveling up your Catalog during the Sneak Peek. Your first win of the day gives a lot more Catalog points than your succeeding battles so take advantage of this feature by making sure you win at least once a day!
The accumulative total of Conch Shells earned by the entire team during the Sneak Peek make up the score of the team in this criteria.
How to Get and Use Conch Shells from Splatfest
A team's popularity also contributes to the results of the Splatfest. The team that gets the most votes during the Sneak Peek wins in that criteria so make sure to invite your friends and other players to vote for the team that you like for a higher chance of winning!
Earn Clout as you play more Splatfest battles to help your team win the Splatfest. The Clout you earned will be added to the total number of clout your team earned during the Splatfest.
The more Clout you earn, the higher the chances of your team winning the event!
How to Earn Clout in Splatfests
The Splatfest Tee is a free clothing item that you can receive at the Pledge Box after voting for your team. The Splatfest Tee has the unique ability Ability Doubler, and already comes with three open gear slots, which makes a great piece of gear to grab while you can.
During the Sneak Peak, you will be able to earn Conch Shells by leveling up your catalog. These rewards are only available while Splatfests are underway, so make sure to level up your catalog now while you can earn these additional rewards!
Super Sea Snails can be earned after a Spaltfest. The number of Super Sea Snails you receive depends on your rank and whether your team won at the end of the Splatfest.
Super Sea Snails are used to either increase you gear's Star Power or reroll their slots by talking to Murch in Splatsville.

However, once you have voted in the Splatfest, you will not be able to change your region for up to two months, so be careful when deciding your region.
