・Detonates quickly and applies immediate pressure to opponents.
Suction BombSuction Bomb ・Deals massive damage.
・Forces opponents to vacate an area or risk getting splatted.

S Tier

Fizzy BombFizzy Bomb ・Lets user remain mobile while using it
・Great for pressuring in narrow spaces.
Burst BombBurst Bomb ・Can be used in succession
・Explodes on contact
・Does not cost much ink.
AutobombAutobomb ・Good for taking opponents off objectives
・Homes in on enemies so it doesn't require perfect aim.
Splash WallSplash Wall ・Useful for defending areas and teammates.
・Requires strategic placement to be most effective.

A Tier

TorpedoTorpedo ・Homes in on enemies so it doesn't require perfect aim, but is easy to shoot down
・Deals good damage, and spreads a good amount of ink in an area.
Curling BombCurling Bomb ・Useful for going offensive, as the Curling Bomb creates a trail that you can swim on.
・Can also be useful for deception if a player swims behind it, or decides not to.
Squid BeakonSquid Beakon ・Good for getting advantageous positioning for you and your team.
・Less useful in smaller stages with less space to move around.
Ink MineInk Mine ・Good for keeping areas painted for your team.
・Best placed in narrow areas where enemies are sure to step on.

B Tier

Sub Weapon Reason
SprinklerSprinkler ・Easily destroyed by opponents.
・Does not offer much support because it is stationary.
Toxic MistToxic Mist ・Easy for opponents to evade the mist.
・Opponents are never in its area of effect for long.
Angle ShooterAngle Shooter ・Good for narrow areas, but not as effective in wide spaces.
・Difficult to use effectively
Point SensorPoint Sensor ・Good for gaining information but little else.
・Does not deal damage or disrupt.
