Salmon Run Next Wave's Special Waves, also known as Known Occurrences, are random events that drastically change the stage and may also require new mechanics to complete.
Mr. Grizz will usually announce the gimmick of the current Known Occurrence, as well as the general strategy to defeat the special Boss Salmonids that spawn during these events.
Changes in Water Levels are the only known occurrences that overlap with each other, and can make certain random events more challenging such as Fog at High Tide.
Other Known Occurrences do not overlap with one another. However, some known occurrences only occur during specific water levels such as Giant Tornado only appearing during Low Tide.
