Whether you're new to Splatoon or trying out the motion controls for the first time, we recommend setting the motion-control sensitivity to -2.5.
This is ideal for beginners as it's slower and more stable. As you get used to the controls, you'll want to adjust it from -2.5 to -2.0 and gradually increase it -1.0.
Motion Controls vs Stick Controls
It's a good idea to set the right analog stick sensitivity higher to at least 3.0-5.0 so you can turn around fast and move the reticle easily. A lower sensitivity will feel sluggish and may cause you to not respond fast enough to an enemy about to splat you!
Set the right analog sensitivity to the highest and try aiming with the motion controls, and then gradually lower the stick sensitivity until you find a comfortable setting that suits you.

Turning on Color Lock locks the ink color of your team and makes it easier for players with colorblindness to easily distinguish their team's ink colors.
In older games like Splatoon 2, it was sometimes very difficult to distinguish team colors during Splatfests. Color Lock locks your ink color and makes it easier to tell them apart!
