In the events following the disappearance of Cap'n Cuttlefish after fighting DJ Octavio, Marie, alongside Callie and the Captain, meets Agent 3 and guides them to locate their missing grandfather.
The Marie amiibo was launched on July 8, 2016 alongside Callie's Amiibo. The amiibo unlocks all a set of exclusive Armor Gear.

Marie, along with Callie, are part of a duo idol group called "Squid Sisters" that debuted all the way back to the original splatoon game. She's the more quiet type out of the two, in contrast with Callie's outgoing personality.
In Splatoon 3, she's now part of the New Squidbeak Splatoon as Agent 2, hoping to find the location of their missing grandfather!
