Splatsville is the hub area in Splatoon 3 and is located in the Splatlands in the northwestern part of the world map. This city is larger than previous hub areas but is also less urban and has a more crowded city layout which is why many locals call it the city of chaos.
The city also has a relatively arid climate owing to its proximity ot the Outer Splatlands Desert. With Splatsville located in a different region from Inkopolis, Inklings and Octolings need to take a train through Hammerhead Bridge to get to city center.
Splatsville Features and How to Unlock Them
The Crater is a large crater located within the Splatlands and is accessible by going down the manhole in Splatsville, and is notable for the upside-down Eiffel Tower located in the distance.
Camp Cuttle is located in The Crater and serves as the tutorial that leads to the start of the game's main story.
Single Player Story Mode Walkthrough
Located within The Crater in the Splatlands, Alterna is the ruins of a domed sunken city with a rocket launch pad in the center, and is where the story continues after clearing The Crater.
Future Utopia Island is the main hub area in Alterna and is where you'll meet the mysterious Captain.
Who is the Captain?
Located in the Inkadia region, Inkopolis is the setting of Splatoon 1 and Splatoon 2 with Inkopolis Square serving as its main hub.
The city's more urban landscape makes it a more populous city than Splatsville despite its smaller size, and is also the city cloesest to Octo Valley which is accessible via manhole within Inkopolis.
Octo Valley is located near Inkopolis and is accessible through a manhole in the plaza area. Like The Crater, it is the setting for Splatoon 1's story mode and is where DJ Octavio first amassed his Octarian forces to steal the Great Zapfish.
Octo Canyon is a neighboring location close to Octo Valley and is once again accessible through a manhole in Inkopolis Plaza. It's the setting for Splatoon 2's story mode and is where DJ Octavio marshalled his forces after kidnapping Callie.
The Deepsea Metro is a hidden metro station located deep within Inkopolis Bay off the coast of Inkopolis. It's the setting of Splatoon 2's DLC Octo Expansion where the Octoling Agen 8 first awakened and saved Inkopolis from the rogue A.I. Commander Tartar.
The Salmonid Swim Zones are two locations in the world map where Salmon Runs take place, with one located in Inkopolis Bay and the other to the south of Anarchy Bay.
It's currently unknown which Slamonid Swim Zone Salmon Run Next Wave takes place, though the surrounding structures in Sockeye Salmon Station hint that it's in Inkopolis Bay close to the Salmon-Jammer Dam.
