Fog Obscures Vision

During Fog, a white fog will cover the entire stage and make it very difficult to see things from far away - effectively lowering the draw distance of the map.

Apart from the fog, this special wave has the same mechanics as normal stages; you still need to collect Golden Eggs and hit to quota to clear it!

Salmonids Spawn Everywhere

Unlike normal waves, Salmonids will spawn from all directions during Fog. They aren't restricted to their usual spawn points in piers and coastlines and will often spawn right in the middle of the map!

Check the Current Water Level

Splatoon 3 - Low Tide Stage

During Fog, the previous wave's water levels are retained. This makes this Known Occurrence particularly difficult during High Tide and in smaller maps like Sockeye Salmon Station.

Move slowly and pay attention to your surroundings to avoid falling into the water!

How to Tell if It's Low or High Tide?

Avoid Venturing Out Alone

With visibility poor and the Salmonids spawning in all directions, make sure you don't venture alone during Fog.

Make sure you group up with other players when venturing out and hunting Boss Salmonids and collecting Golden Eggs so that you can cover and revive each other.

Prioritize Splatting Goldies

Splatoon 3 - Prioritize Goldies

Goldies have a low chance to spawn during Fog, but these rare Boss Salmonids drop more Golden Eggs than others. If you spot on, prioritize splatting them so you can hit the quota faster!
