Starting in Version 1.0.13, you can now receive 5 Pokemon Candies of a random Pokemon that can evolve via Linking Cord whenever this item is used from your bag.

This makes the item much more useful, since it's very easy to have a surplus of Linking Cords if you have many research community friends.

Don't spend your points on these you'll regret it, you get tons of them as a level 3 friendship award. I really like my Gengar but i could've waited for it.
