Enemy ink will shrink any soaker blocks that have been expanded by your ink. As such, make sure that all enemies that are near any blocks you need for progresssion are cleared out.
Extend the soaker block you find here to its maximum size. |
It will create a multi layered platform, making it easier to cross. |
Before the final area of this stage, you will find a large chasm with a soaker block. We recommend extending the block to its fullest extent as it will not only give you a multi-tiered platform that makes it easier to move around, but also provide you with more time to cross from one section to another.
If you find yourself in an area that seems impossible to progress through, try extending soaker blocks to their maximum length. Soaker blocks will temporarily shine and emit a unique sound effect when they are at their maximum length.
Not only can you toss Smallfry onto soaker blocks to activate them, but they will remain extended until you either call Smallfry back, or an enemy starts inking them. This method should be employed even when it is unnecessary, as it makes progression through this stage much easier.
