Machoke can be befriended as part of the Rocky Ridges story. Professor Tangrowth will request you to build a Grassy Training Field for Machoke, and once completed, Machoke is a guaranteed spawn.
Teaches Strength
Machoke can also teach Ditto the move Strength, allowing you to move heavy objects. You can learn this from Machoke as you progress through their request: Move Over, Boulder!
