Is Fortune Finder Worth It?

Only If You Have Low Charisma

Fortune Finder is a great perk to have if you have low Charisma. Buy and sell prices from vendors are not that good if your Charisma level is low, so having Fortune Finder makes up for that since you can find more caps with this perk active.

Rank 3 25 You find even more Bottlecaps in containers.
Rank 4 40 You find even more Bottlecaps in containers, and there is a chance of enemies exploding in a shower of Caps when you kill them.

How to Get Fortune Finder

Unlock Fortune Finder at Luck 1

Fallout 4 Fortune Finder Perk
Fortune Finder is on Luck Level 1

The Fortune Finder perk is unlocked when your Luck is at Level 1. You can start at this level by assigning 1 point to Luck during the Registration Form at the start of the game. Otherwise, you can get to this level by collecting SPECIAL magazines or bobbleheads and spending perk points upon level up.

After getting to Luck 1, you're free to spend perk points on ranking up the skill, as long as you are at the required character level to rank up.
