Precipice of War Objectives

Defend the Railroad HQ

Immediately after starting the quest, the Brotherhood of Steel will start their assault against the Railroad. Four enemies will emerge from the cracked wall on the top left side of the round table. Defeat them and check on Desdemona after.

Secure the Catacombs

After the attack on the main headquarters, Desdemona will ask you to defend the catacombs. Once you're ready, simply exit the Railroad from the main entrance and defeat the forces along the way.

Once all enemies have been defeated inside the church, including those in the nave, Desdemona and the rest of the Railroad will secure the entire place. Talk to her to receive your next task.

Meet Tinker Tom at the Cambridge Police Station

Next, head to the bus stop near the Cambridge Police Station to meet Tinker Tom. While you can start taking down some forces immediately alone, it's recommended to talk to him first to gain an extra companion when clearing the forces inside the Police Station.

Defeat all the Brotherhood Forces

When ready, clear out all enemies in the front yard and inside the police station before climbing up to the rooftop. This includes taking down notable characters such as Knight Rhys and Scribe Haylen, who can be found outside and inside, respectively.

Once you've cleared all enemies, including those on the rooftop, talk to Tinker Tom to secure the Vertibird.

Defend the Vertibird

Defend the Vertibird from the extra forces of the Brotherhood, who will send more Vertibirds of their own to attack you. Make sure to protect Tom while you take them down.

You can directly attack the Vertibirds with any weapons of your choice, as they are much easier to defeat compared to the Knights they send down.

Talk to Deacon

After defeating all the enemies, talk to Deacon to complete the quest. He'll reward you with several items for clearing the quest, including a Short Plasma Rifle, Plasma Cartridges, Pulse Grenades, Plasma Grenades, Stimpaks, and 500 Bottlecaps.
