Finding a chair is the first step to waiting in Fallout 4. Whether it's a stool, a couch, an ottoman, or a bench. as long as you see the option to Sit, then you can utilize it.

Chairs are spread all over the maps creatively and once you find one, waiting will be a breeze.

Craft Chairs

In the scenario where you cannot find any chairs or are too preoccupied to do so, you can opt to craft one if you ever stumble upon a Workbench.

Sit And Wait

Once sat, a prompt will appear on the screen asking you to input how long you want to wait. It's optimal to put 12 Hours if you want to switch between Day and Night immediately.
