Go to Red Rocket Truck Stop

Dogmeat can be found at the Redrocket Truck Stop, which is Southeast of Sanctuary Hills. Upon arriving, he will approach you and grab your attention. From here, you can immediately ask him to accompany you throughout your travels with no additional requirements needed.
What to Do If Dogmeat is Missing?
Check the Dog Houses at Sanctuary Hills
If Dogmeat appears to be missing after dismissing him, you can check the dog houses at Sanctuary Hills. He should be found resting inside one of them.
Sanctuary Hills Location
Sanctuary Hills is located on the Northwest corner of the map. This is the first settlement that you'll visit after leaving Vault 111 at the beginning of the game.
Use Console Commands to Spawn Dogmeat (PC)
For PC players, you can use the Console Command, prid 0001d162, followed by moveto player to spawn Dogmeat near you. Only do this if you've confirmed that he is bugged out and completely disappeared from the game.

The Dog Helmet, Dog Armor, and Chain Dog Collar are all found beside a rocky outcrop with a few dog bowls near it just Southeast of Walden Pond. If you haven't discovered this pond yet, you can start from Concord and head directly south until you reach a huge lake with an isle in the middle.
Heavy Dog Armor, Light Dog Armor, and Gunner's Camo Bandana

The Heavy Dog Armor, Light Dog Armor, and Gunner's Camo Bandana can be obtained by killing three dogs named Kyle, Alissa, and Kate, on a highway, East of Jamaica Plain. Each dog will be possessing one of each armor, so make sure you kill all of them to get all three.

The Stars and Stripes Bandana can be found on a shelf in the clothing store of the Monsignor Plaza. This settlement is located Northwest of the Old North Church, just across the bridge.

Dogmeat Affinity Guide
No Likes and Dislikes
Dogmeat has no likes and dislikes. He is the only companion that you cannot raise your Affinity with.

Dogmeat has no unique companion perk available.
Attack Dog Perk is Associated with Dogmeat
Attack Dog is a Charisma perk that you can unlock, which grants Dogmeat the ability to hold an enemy, damage their limbs, and cause them to bleed at higher ranks.
