Curie loves it when the player lends a helping hand to those in need. She dislikes it when the player resorts to violence over a peaceful resolution, and always disapproves heinous crimes such as stealing, pickpocketing, and murdering friendly NPCs.
Generally being nice to other characters and offering assistance all the time will definitely raise your affinity with Curie by a long shot.

Curie can be found in Vault 81, which is located directly West of Diamond City. Go to the vault's entrance and talk to the Security Officer through the intercom. Unless you pass a difficult speech check, you will need three Fusion Cores to gain entry as requested by the vault's Overseer.
You can easily obtain 3 Fusion Cores at the Robotics Burial Ground, northeast of Sanctuary. You can find one core in the military crate at the middle, and the other two cores by destroying the sentry bot via the self-destruct sequence at the nearby terminal.
To recruit Curie as your companion, you will need to complete the Hole in the Wall side quest given to you by the Overseer of Vault 81.
In this quest, you will explore a sealed off section of the vault where you will meet Curie who has been trapped there for years. After freeing her and completing the quest, she will offer to join you throughout your travels.
You will have to complete the Here Kitty, Kitty side quest from Erin Combes (also in Vault 81) before the Overseer issues you the Hole in the Wall quest.
If you did not receive the Hole in the Wall quest after completing this pre-requisite, leave the vault and sleep or wait for several hours, then talk to the Vault 81 Overseer again.
Curie can be romanced after transferring her mind to a new synth body during the quest Emergent Behavior. With her new body, you can further romance with her by passing an easy Flirt dialogue check, then finally the difficult Romance speech check.
Curie's companion perk is Combat Medic, which heals you to a 100 HP when your health falls below 10 percent. This effect only activates once per day.
