Talk to Doctor Amari
Speak to Doctor Amari in the basement of the Memory Den at Goodneighbor. If you've never been to Goodneighbor, it's located Northeast of Boston Common, which means you will have to fight your way through the ruins infested with Super Mutants and Raiders.
Sit in the Memory Lounger
After talking to Doctor Amari, interact with the Memory Lounger to sit on it and begin examining Kellogg's brain sample that you obtained earlier from his corpse in the Reunions quest.
Explore Kellogg's Memories
As you explore Kellogg's Memories, you will be taken through various events of his life. During this, you're free to move around and examine different objects to hear Kellogg's memories about them.
It is here that you will discover that Shaun was indeed taken in by the Institute and Kellogg's last agenda was looking for a rogue scientist named Virgil.
Exit Kellogg's Memories
Interact with the television to leave Kellogg's memories. Once back in reality, speak to Doctor Amari and she will instruct you to go to the Glowing Sea to look for the scientist that Kellogg was hunting down.
