To get out of the Power Armor, you need to hold down the Exit button, which is E on PC, A on Xbox, and X on PlayStation.

Settlements

The safest place to exit your armor and leave the suit behind is in Settlements you own. These settlements are protected by your settlers and will have no chance of theft by any hostile enemies.

Power Armor Stations

You can repair and modify your Power Armor at Power Armor Stations, which are scattered across the wastelands and can also be found in your Settlements.

Power Armor Stations resembles two large yellow bars similar to a hangar. Their vibrant color and considerable size make them hard to miss.

Where to Find Power Armor Stations

Anywhere, But Remove the Fusion Core

Hostile NPCs, especially Raiders, can hijack your Power Armor if you leave it unattended anywhere unsafe.

However, a Power Armor is useless without a Fusion Core. Be sure to remove the Fusion Core whenever you exit the suit and mark its location on your map if you plan to return for it later.
